Activity Approach

Human Security Alliance shall work in three approaches, namely A) Mapping, B) Outreaching, and C) Advocacy.

i. Mapping will cover knowledge generating and sharing, information exchange, identifying local, community, group, and regional perspective of human security and strengthening global thoughts, and mechanisms.

ii. Outreaching includes information dissemination, awareness building, communication, capacity development and exchanges.

iii. Advocacy will focused on promoting human security ideas, strengthening national, regional and international approaches on human security, and promoting adoption and application of human security related policy.

Thematic Focus

The major thematic focuses of the activity are:

a) Constitution building: it is a key component of democratisation and conflict management in divided societies, and

b) Emergency management: it is the discipline of dealing with and avoiding risks that involves preparing for disaster before it happens, disaster response, as well as supporting, and rebuilding.

Activities in Partnership

HSA works in partnership to maximize the impact at grass-root level. At the same time, the partnership extends the network as well as provide divers opportunities to engage. Supporting cross-cutting projects is another dimension for partnership. Besides, the national partners HSA engages with several regional partners starting from partnership for the Promotion of the Right of Ethnic Minority in Southeast Asia to Partnership for the Promotion of National Human Rights Institutions.
